When people decide they want to try making money online they are often overwhelmed by the many options of where to put their time and money. One vehicle that gets overlooked too often is buying a blog. There are many reasons that buying a blog is a good investment.
1) Unique Content. The search engines are constantly looking for unique content to add to their databases. Even if the post of a given blog is not unique, if there is an active group of readers they will discuss the various posts. When these discussions get posted in the comment section of a blog, they become unique content. In other words, the readers of a blog actually help the blog owner build the website. This makes the blog owner happy, the readers happy, and the search engines happy.
2) Search Engines LOVE Frequently Updated Websites. With a blog, each post is an update and that’s great, but what’s really great is that each comment is also an update.
3) Someone Else Has Had The Inspiration. Many people can take an existing project and run with it. Most of those same people are paralyzed when faced with the prospect of choosing a Niche and building a website around it. Buying a blog is a good investment that skips this problem altogether. The initial research has been done, so someone new to online business can simply continue building on the original inspiration. This addresses the biggest complaint you hear from new people – that they’re willing to put in some work, but don’t know just what to work on.
4) Someone Else Has Built The Site. To someone who has never built a website, choosing the theme, plugins, and other aspects of a blog can be intimidating. When buying an existing blog, you’re getting an operational website that’s ready for you to run and enjoy.
5) It’s An Existing Business. What that means is that there’s no question about whether a blog on this subject will be successful. An existing blog will already be listed in search engines, maybe have traffic from day one, maybe even be making a profit from day one. Once again for the new person, this is ideal. The startup decisions and actions have all been taken care of and the only thing needed from the new owner will be more of the same. For someone who does not have the experience to make the choices associated with building the site, knowing that success is simply a matter of putting in the effort brings great peace of mind.
As familiar as some of us are with the internet, the fact is that it’s still in its early stages. With the multitude of ways to make money using the internet, it’s only going to become a better source of income in the future. For someone looking for a shortcut to success, buying a blog is a good investment because the part that requires in-depth knowledge and technical savvy is already done and all that’s left is to put in a little work and enjoy the rewards.

It sure is if you know what you are doing. Else you could just run into the illusion of seeing it as an automated money-maker machine..

Yes, you can buy a blog as a shortcut to SEO success, but just make sure that you know what are you venturing on to avoid hangups.
Getting ready to buy one myself. The work is done already to build now I’ll just have to maintain it.

Thanks for your post !
That is a great idea In fact, I just bought a humor/joke blog that was 6 months old. It is much easier to take traffic from 100 a day to 200 a day then it is to take it from 0 to 100.
