Update Services are free tools you can use to inform other people that you have updated your blog. Using these services, you will be able to drive more traffic to your blog.

Every time you publish a post, Wordpress authomatically notifies popular Update Services that you have updated your blog by sending an XML-RPC ping. When Update Services receive the ping, they start updating their proprietary indices to include your updates. People browsing sites like IceRocket, Syndic8, Technorati or Sphere will then find your latest posts. If they find your post interesting, they will click on it resulting to more visits to your blog. Joining and participating in forum is a great way to network with other bloggers and potential readers. Forums are a valuable source of traffic for your blog. And so, some bloggers advice you to join and participate in as much forum as you can but I beg to differ.
Time is gold and you’ve got better things to do than participate in forums. You need to make your posts, do some readings and research etc. This makes it impractical to spend a huge amount of your time participating in forums. If however, you’ve got all the time in the world, then joining and participating in as much forum as you can could be rewarding.
Instead of joining and participating to as much forum as you can, why don’t you settle for the best. Those that can really help you increase your blog traffic, subscriber and network. I did a little research and I came up with the “Top 10 Forums For Bloggers”.
Top 10 Forums For Bloggers

The Top 10 Forums are ranked according to daily traffic, number of members, number of posts in the forum and the topics they covered. Without further ado, here are the Top 10 Forums For Bloggers.

- Authority Blogger Forum
- v7n Web Development Forum
- Bloggst Forum
- Blog Traffic School Forum
- Blogging Tips Forum
