Previously, I did a little experiment. I tried optimizing the keywords pinay sex videos and pinay sex scandals. According to Google Trend, pinay sex scandals and pinay sex videos are some of the hottest search terms online. I thought it was a great idea to get myself a share of the huge traffic that these keywords generate from search engines.

Surprisingly, search engines were quick at indexing my post. Within 24 hours, my post on pinay sex scandals and pinay sex videos were indexed by Google and Yahoo. At one point, my post was on the top of Yahoo’s search result page for the search terms pinay sex videos and pinay sex scandal. That same day, my traffic quadrupled. Unfortunately, the surge in traffic didn’t bring much benefits to my blog. (What went wrong?)

I received an email from a fellow blogger asking me if optimizing popular search terms such as pinay sex scandal, asian sex slave, pinay sex videos, free porn videos etc. is worth the time. He thought that these are some of the hottest search terms online and it’s probably a good idea to take a slice of the huge traffic. His only problem is, his blog is all about making money online. I sent him a reply and I decided to published the main points I’ve told him.

Drawbacks Of Optimizing Sex Related Keywords
There’s no doubt that pinay sex scandal, pinay sex videos, asian sex slaves and free porn videos are popular search terms (check the Google trend below for proof). The problem is, you are risking some important aspects of your blog the moment you start optimizing them. [click to continue...]

Here’s a list of free directories I managed to compile. I was submitting my blog to free directories then I decided to come up with this list and share it with you. Some of the links are directed to the submission page so you just have to fill up the form and hit the sumit button.

In case you’re wondering, submitting your blog to free directories will help boost your Google Page Rank. Submitting your blog to directories (free and paid) can also help drive more traffic to your blog. The list of free directories below includes directories with high Google Page Rank and have fast approval time (exluding DMOZ - sometimes it takes a year to get approved there). As I was doing my usual blog hopping, I came across Noobpreneur.com, a blog I haven’t visited for months since the last time. Quite surprisingly, the blog is doing very well, properly maintained and organized. What really impressed me and caught my attention is the page rank button displayed at the sidebar showing that Noobpreneur.com has a Google Page Rank of 5.
The curious blogger that I am, I started to snoop around. And since Google primarily depends on links to determine page ranks, the first thing I did was to check how many links does Noobpreneur.com has and what are the nature of these links.
I found out from my investigation that Noobpreneur.com has 291 inbound links. AnyBeard.eu, another blog with a Google Page Rank of 5, has more inbound links (1,230). This tells us that page rank isn’t all about having more inbound links. Google however, does not show the accurate inbound links of websites using site:URL. Google Webmaster can provide a more accurate information but unfortunately, I don’t have access to these information.
Going further with my investigation, I discovered that most of Noobpreneur.com’s inbound links are from blogs using the Top Commentator plugin. Ivan, the blogger behind Noobpreneur, is using the Top Commentatator as a link building strategy, which apparently is working for him. [click to continue...]

I am thrilled to find out that after optimizing my blog for the keywords “Thesis Wordpress Theme“, I’m now ranked second in the Google search result page out of the 267,000 pages. My review of the Thesis Wordpress Theme is even higher than Darren’s of Problogger. Here’s a screenshot of the Google search result page (as of August 5, 2008).

As a result of ranking high on such keyword, I started receiving traffic from Google from those who are looking for more information about the Thesis Wordpress Theme. Unfortunately, up until now, I haven’t converted any of those traffic into actual sales. Although I’m still hopeful as some bloggers promised to purchase the Thesis Wordpress Theme through my referral link.
Here are a few things that I’ve learned from my successful search engine optimization.
- Search engine ranking constantly changes. SEO should therefore be a continuous process.
- It is possible to outrank the more established blogs provided you do your part of SEOing.
- A huge part of my search engine optimization technique involved building more links. I believe it’s the most important element of SEO.
In my succeeding posts, I’ll share you the methods I’ve used to optimize my post on Thesis Wordpress Theme for Google and other search engines.
Thank you for your time. Like always, your comments and suggestions are most welcome!
