But at times, the entire process of freelance writing gets so demanding and time consuming that comparative money making out of the entire business is not a quick scheme. If money happens to be one of your major concerns, you can be well off in other fields. But this is not the case anymore. Here are some tips to help you make more money out of freelance writing.
To start with, it’s very important to be professional and organized when it comes to freelance writing. Most of the writers are not able to make enough money because they have rampant working schedules, disorganized working environment and lack of experience. It’s important for the writers to realize that they need to start on with less work and do them competently. Then they should start accepting more work. At the same time, the number of assignments given to a freelance writer increases, only when the writer proves to have commitment, quality service and punctual in the writing and submissions of articles.
Secondly, it’s important to be punctual in the Freelance Writing business. It’s always good to be punctual and at the same time deliver quality works to your clients as these build your reputation. It takes a lot of time and effort to earn reputation in freelancing writing but it pays off. Remember that your clients are not searching for Shakespeare and Wordsworth, but a writer who can deliver their expectations. And mind you, clients’ expectations vary from one to another.
If you can, try planning your schedule ahead of time. Maintaining a planner is a good habit. You can do this with a Google calendar account. At the same time, you also need to schedule your other activities, taking into consideration the time factor.
At times, you might need some extra time to complete a work load because something urgent came up. This is inevitable. Just make sure you let your clients know about it. If possible, inform them in advance. Sending an email to your client to apologize and explain why you can’t submit your article on time is always the proper thing to do. Ignoring them, after they sent you follow up emails, is not only unprofessional but will build a bad reputation for you. Don’t forget that satisfied clients will keep coming back for more. Dissatisfied clients will not take second chances and will even go as far as “bad-mouthing” you to your potential customers.
Thirdly, there are innumerable tasks that your client needs to do once you submitted your article. It can be anything from checking the grammar, the sentence construction, the usage of words to corrections in spellings and type of research employed. Thus, try sending verified and edited copies to your clients. Also make sure, that there is no word fluffing in your sentences, double check the edited copies and make sure that unnecessary vocabulary is not used.
At the same time, don’t complain if your articles need revision. At times, you might feel that the editing is not required, but your client might still demand for it. Thus, you need to address the entire matter very professionally and rationally. Your clients would be very happy to know that they can always ask you to revise your article in case it didn’t meet their requirements.
Over time, as you are able to build reputation and develop good relationships to your clients, you can then ask for an increase in your service charge. I’m pretty sure they would be more than willing to give in to your request assuming it’s not too much. Or they might even reward you for your services even without asking them.
In a nutshell, freelance writing will not make you a millionnaire. You might have to start from scratch but if your work is of good quality and you have established a reputation for yourself and developed pleasant relationships with your clients, nothing can stop you from making more money.

i can say that freelance writer is not a easy job. there is several terms need to care of like sentence structure, synonym, grammar and content itself. i’m not a good writer beside english is my second language. so far i’m focusing to write at helium and associatedcontent. (not counting others article submission like hubpages, xombyte,triond etc..,)
