Pinay Sex Scandal

by TheWeblogZone on September 6, 2008

I received an email from a fellow blogger asking me if optimizing popular search terms such as pinay sex scandal, asian sex slave, pinay sex videos, free porn videos etc. is worth the time. He thought that these are some of the hottest search terms online and it’s probably a good idea to take a slice of the huge traffic. His only problem is, his blog is all about making money online. I sent him a reply and I decided to published the main points I’ve told him.

Drawbacks Of Optimizing Sex Related Keywords

There’s no doubt that pinay sex scandal, pinay sex videos, asian sex slaves and free porn videos are popular search terms (check the Google trend below for proof). The problem is, you are risking some important aspects of your blog the moment you start optimizing them.

Image Of Your Blog And Your Credibility As A Blogger

Firstly, I want to clarify that I don’t think sex is a bad topic for a blog or optimizing sex related keywords is wrong. But in your case, I think it would be inappropriate for your blog, especially that you made it clear that it’s all about making money online and you have been consistent with your blog topic ever since. How do you think your readers and subscribers will react when suddenly, the usual topic has been changed to accommodate the more popular search terms?

Not only the image of your blog is at stake but your credibility as a blogger too. I’m not sure your readers will think you’re a flexible blogger who can write about making money online and pinay sex scandal videos at the same time. Rather than being appreciated for your flexible writing skills, your credibility will be questioned as well as your moral standards.

Well, this is not entirely true to all your readers as others might be amused to read about something different on your blog. But quite certainly to a larger extent, they won’t be appreciative of it.

My best advice is you create a new blog and optimize it with the search terms you have in mind.

Impact To Your Readers

The truth is, the opinions of your readers matter. A blog couldn’t be successful without them. And by accommodating sex oriented search terms, which they are not used to or not interested to, you will just end up alienating them. You could argue that they’ll be replaced by a new set of readers. Those who are less internet savvy and would most likely click on your Adsense. But to keep them means changing your blog topic eventually (make money online to mature oriented content), which is not really advisable.

You see, the reason why niche blogging (blogging about a specific topic) is more successful than general blogging is because you stick to your topic. Doing so enables you to specialize on it, gain credibility and become an authority. Also, niche blogging have a specific audience, which means marketing and monetization strategies are more effective and profitable.

You have three choices. It’s either you keep your niche or you shift to a general blog so you can write about general topics. Or like I’ve said earlier, you can just start a new blog.

Effects To Your Advertisers

Most advertisers want that the content of a blog should be catered to everyone. Meaning, it should not be offensive and mature-content oriented. Now if you start to write about pinay sex scandal, post pinay sex videos on your blog or link to free porn sites, you will soon be in trouble. Google Adsense for instance has cancelled several publishers’ account because they violated the terms of agreements regarding blog content.

With the change in your content, you will soon have some, if not all your advertisers withdrawing. Of course there are plenty of advertising networks in the adult industry that you can use but then again, you end up worrying about your web host. Most of the biggest and most popular free and paid web hosts do not allow adult content. They’ll end up suspending your account in no time. To avoid this, you need to find a new web host that allows you to publish adult-related content and move your blog to your new host. That’s additional work and inconveniences. Make sure you’re up for it. :)

If you were to give your own advice, what will you tell my friend? Will you give him the same advice I gave or will you tell him otherwise? I’d appreciate your valuable inputs?

Thank you for your time. :)

This is a violation on SEO. Having a post and making your keywords with a sex related content it will only make your reputation bad in the Search Engine.
