Due to the nature of blogging, networking has become an indespansable strategy that has to be integrated in your over-all blogging strategy to achieve a certain level of success. That’s precisely why I have repeatedly emphasized in this blog the importance of networking.

Networking, in simple words, is all about making friends and building a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship. In the case of bloggers, it’s about making friends online. The challenge to every blogger now is to build and grow their own networks. Here are some handy tips to help you keep up with the challenge.
1. Make Sure Your Blog Is Networking Friendly.
Of course, building your network should start in your blog. That’s why, before you browse the blogosphere for friends, make sure your blog is “networking-friendly”. A networking friendly blog should have:
- Comments enabled.
- A contact page or contact details.
- An about page.
- Installed social bookmarks
2. Join Social Networking Sites
Social networking sites are great places to meet new people and build your network. You don’t really have to join all social networking sites. Save your time for the more valuable blogging tasks by joining only the largest and and most popular networking sites. Just make sure to be an active member. Here’s a list of “must-join” social networking sites.
3. Reach Out To Other Poeple.
To build your network, you should take the initiative to reach out to other people. This is especially true if you’re new to blogging. Even the more established bloggers are also encouraged to reach out to others to further build their networks. Here are some networking tips that will help you build and grow your own network.
- Comment on other blogs.
- Join blog activities or blog events. (i.e. blog contests, blogging for a cause, blog action day etc.)
- Contact other bloggers. (Send notes of appreciation or suggestions about their blogs. They’ll appreciate the thought.)
- Bookmark other blogger’s post.
- Link to other bloggers. Link to them from your posts or from your blog roll.
There you have it. What other networking tips not mentioned in this post would you recommend? Among the tips shared in this post, which one do you think will give you the most benefits? Do share your thoughts and opinions in the comment.
Thank you for your time. Happy blogging everyone!

Networking is indeed a benefit.
But to ripe the real benefit from it, we must network from our own free will, that is because we love this and this blog..etc and not just because “we-have-to”. But this really varies from blogger to blogger
